NORMANDY PARK COMMUNITY CLUB COURT GUIDELINES (2023)

The tennis and pickleball courts at the Cove are for the private use of NPCC members and their accompanied guests only. The following rules have been approved by the Board of Trustees. Please share these rules with your family and guests who use the courts with you.
- Lot-A owners become NPCC members by paying the annual maintenance fee. Members are provided with the court access code when they register to use the courts or from the Cove Office.
- The courts are reserved using the CourtReserve application, which is available for Apple and Android phones, as well as PCs. NPCC families can contact the Cove Office for registration details.
- NPCC households may reserve a court for up to two hours per household per week.
- The west court is prioritized for tennis and the east court for pickleball; courts can only be reserved for their prioritized sport.
- If a court is reserved, drop-in players must vacate the court immediately when the player that holds the reservation arrives at their reserved time.
- Both east and west courts have pickleball lines and portable pickleball nets to enable up to 4 games at once. The west court pickleball nets are stored in alignment with the east court tennis net post and placed in the stationary position (not resting on the wheels) to serve as ball stops when pickleball play is finished.
- If a court has not been reserved, it is open to first come first served for either sport. If players arrive and their prioritized court is being used by the other sport (for example pickleball is being played on the west court and tennis players arrive to use the court), the players must vacate the court immediately.
- If the west courts are being used for drop-in pickleball (no tennis reservations have been made), it is considered open play. When a game is finished, the players must leave the court and allow players that are waiting to have the court.
- When other players of the prioritized court are waiting for an unreserved court, players must yield the court within 20 minutes.
- Adults over 18 have priority after 6 pm on weekdays.
- Wear only appropriate court shoes on the courts, no bare feet.
- Skateboards, roller blades, scooters, and bicycles are not permitted on the courts. Pets are not allowed on the courts.
- Notify NP police immediately if you see trespassers or witness vandalism. Also report incidents to the Cove Office.
- Commercial use of Lot-A property requires Board approval.
- Repeat violations of these rules will result in your CourtReserve access being suspended for 30 days.
Thank you for your help in making sure your Cove property is a safe and fun place for everyone to enjoy!
Approved by Board of Trustees motion, September 6, 2025.

YOUTH TENNIS LESSONS

2026 Tennis Summer Camps at The Cove
Provide your child with an exciting summer tennis experience where players build strong fundamentals, develop coordination, and grow their enjoyment of the game! This program is designed for all skill levels, offering engaging instruction for both beginners and advancing players.
This program is led by Remy Larhs, a senior on the Lakeside School varsity tennis team, which consistently competes at the state level. Each week focuses on building fundamental tennis skills through drills, personalized instruction, and games. Activities are inspired by training methods used at competitive Seattle-area clubs, including Boeing Employees Tennis Club (BETC) and TCSP, along with experience from training at the Rafa Nadal Academy, and are tailored to each player’s level. Players will work on footwork, grips, all major strokes, coordination, and basic strategy. The program runs over five weeks, with specific dates listed below. Families are welcome to register for one or more weeks, depending on their schedule.
Registration opens on May 1st and Lot A members will get priority until May 15th and a discount. All sessions are capped at 8 kids. No refunds within 7 days of the start date. Rainouts will be refunded.
